Dr. Sindhu Chandra Pokhriyal

Dr. Sindhu Chandra Pokhriyal is a practising physician with over 20 years of experience as a Gynaecologist, having worked across Asia and Middle East as a specialist consultant. She has been working relentlessly for enhancement of Women’s Health and primary care and is passionate about taking women healthcare at the grass roots level.

She believes that women should be educated about self care and disease prevention from a young age and guided about life style interventions as a part of preventive healthcare. She also strongly advocates training mid level healthcare workers in standardised essential obstetric care. She has actively participated in cancer prevention and awareness campaigns and is committed to support care and equity in women related to cervical cancer prevention at the grassroots level. Sindhu works on educating women of all age about pap smear screening programs as well as HPV vaccination campaigns to bring down incidence of cervical cancer in India.
